This short video was taken by my niece while on a missions trip in Papua New Guinea last summer. She is a student nurse. It is the story of a new believer. It illustrates the usual spiritual journey of anyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and saviour, and comes to a full realization of who He is.
Some of the content may be different than what we may hear from a new believer in Europe or North America, but the end result: rebirth, forgiveness and freedom from the past, eternal life, is the same.
Here are some of the main points in his story: the start was by hearing the entire scriptures in a coherent and sequential manner, conviction of the reality of Jesus Christ and his identity as God by watching the Jesus video (especially the crucifixion), his subsequent inner transformation away from stealing and witchcraft, his new found ability to forgive (Roman 12:17), his wish to follow God to his utmost, and his desire to bless neighbouring tribes with the good news.
Nothing is impossible with God. (Matthew 19:26).
